This Pantanal Tour is one of the most popular because there are 02 options of transportation: regular shared or private and also 02 options of accommodation: Shared dorm and private rooms. The nature activities are very nice and allow you to experience the region´s incredible biodiversity, including wildlife spotting, bridwatching and exploring the Pantanal ecosystem.
Pick up at the airport or bus station or hotel in Campo Grande. Transfer by regular shared transfer (minivan) to Buraco das Piranhas (police station where beggins the Pantanal Park Road) or transfer by private car directly to the Pantanal Jungle Lodge. If you choose the regular transfer, the Lodge´s car will be waiting for you at Buraco das Piranhas and will bring you to the Lodge. The local transfer happens in open car and you already have the opportunity to spot some wildlife on the Pantanal Park Road.
Arrival in at the lodge and check-in. The schedule day by day you see in this page is only an example how can be your trip, the final schedule of the activities day by day happen when you make the check in at the Lodge.
One of the activities you may go for its Fish Piranhas on the banks of Miranda river. This activity happens in front of the lodge end are used simple rods to fish. If you take a good amount of piranhas your guide will bring it to the cooker fry it for you test at dinner time.
Late in the afternoon out for night boat ride to watch the sunset and do a night focus of alligators. This tour lasts approximately 1h30 minutes and is done by motor boat through the Miranda River. During the tour the night will be used a powerful flashlight connected to a battery that allows the easy localization of nocturnal animals such as alligators, owls, etc.

After breakfast you go for a jeep safari around the Pantanal Park Road and ecological walk on the Pantanal fields. This tour happen in an open pickup truck adapted for tours. During the driving on the road, the jeep stop when the guide spot some wildlife and you have the chance of take several photos of animals and birds. In a certain point of the tour, you will go for a walk in the Pantanal fields searching for wildlife. Usually the hike takes around 1 hour and the guide also show and explain a little about the plants and trees. The tour takes about 3h30min up to 4 hours.
After lunch and rest, you go for a paddling canoe trip. Usually you up the river stream with an engine boat with the canoes being towed. After approximately 30 minutes of motor boat ride, you will go down the river with paddle canoes contemplating the aquatic fauna and flora, as well as listening to the sounds of the birds, since there will be not the noise of the boat engine. The tour takes about 2 hours and the guide in the motor boat will be around during the down the river, just for safety. This tour can be done down the river and in this case the motor boat will bring them back to the hotel with the canoes in tow.

After breakfast, departure for the motor boat trip in the Miranda River and its tributaries. This tour lasts from 2 up to 3 hours, being carried out by motor boat equipped with lifejackets and comfortable chairs. During the tour you will have the opportunity to see the aquatic flora of the Miranda and Red rivers, as well the chance of get near of several wildlife that live around the rivers (black caiman, capybara, giant otters, black howler monkey, egret, Hawks, herons…) and with luck you have chance of see a Jaguar.
After lunch, departure to the farm where you will horseback ride. This tour happen in a typical Pantanal farm that is located approximately 20 km from the Lodge. The trip to the farm happen in an open jeep truck and during the way, you can see some species of animals in the Pantanal Park Road. The horseback ride itself lasts approximately 1h40 and passes through various environments such as the open field, mountain ranges of enclosed forest and flooded areas during the flood season. In total, the tour (jeep + horse) lasts from 3 to 4 hours.

After breakfast, departure for a swim in the river and floating in the Miranda River. A motor boat will take you across the river to a point where the swimming takes place. Falling into the refreshing waters is already exciting and, with the help of a foam float and life jacket, you can relax and let yourself be carried away by the current of the Miranda River until you return to the lodge, which is on the banks of the river. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
After lunch transfer by open jeep truck from the Lodge to Buraco das Piranhas where you will take the Regular Shared Transfer to Campo Grande. If you use a private transfer, the car will pick you up directly in the Lodge and bring you to Campo Grande (not necessary change of vehicle at Buraco das Piranhas). (B, L)
