The Pantanal Jungle Lodge was the first hotel in Passo do Lontra region and in 2015 was owned by the owner of Lontra Pantanal Hotel located in the same region of Passo do Lontra. The new owner’s idea was to leave the Pantanal Lontra Hotel just to the fishing public and transform the Jungle Lodge on a fully hotel facing ecotourism in the Pantanal. The lodge underwent a total renovation, but still keeps the original features of the time of its foundation, which is building the structure on wooden stilts, but the new structure has rustic décor that suits the Pantanal landscape.
The structure of the hotel was all done in wood and mounted on stilts with just over 2 meters height, on the banks of the Miranda River. The construction is high due to the periodic floods that occur in the region, being perfectly adapted to the rainy season where the water level rises and covers much of the ground providing stunning scenery. Arrival at the hotel in itself attracts attention, as access to reception is via an elevated wooden walkway that passes between various species of trees which already makes it possible to observe several species of birds.
The hosting structure have 12 private room, 05 shared collective rooms (dorms) and 01 private room adapted for disabled people. All accommodations are contructed in wood, have screens on windows for protection against mosquitoes and ante room with table and stools.
The private room have capacity up to 04 people (double bed + single beds) and are equipped with mini-fridge, air conditioning, hair dryer, hot water shower and water treatment system.
The Shared Dorm room have capacity up to 08 people (bunk beds) and equipped individual closets, mini-fridge, split air conditioning, hair dryer, hot water shower and water treatment system. The dorm are shared for mens and women, it means a couple can stay in the same dorm, different form other lodges where mens and women do not share the same dorm.
In the common area of the lodge has a restaurant with air conditioning, television (satellite TV), tables where meals are served and bar with pool table. There are also swimming pool and hammocks overlooking the Miranda river to rest and relax in between tours. The meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are typical of the region and served in the restaurant at the buffet where you eat all you want.
The main Ecotourism activities include paddle canoeing, swim in the river, Jeep/truck Safari on the Park Road, nature walking, motor river boat ride, motor boat ride to watch the Sunset, night motor boat ride to spot alligators/nocturnal animals, Piranha Fishing and Horseback Riding. Respecting the wildlife sanctuary and seeks to promote a perfect balance between man and nature the activities are held in small groups (maximum 10 people) and there is always the accompaniment of a local guide who unravels the mysteries of the region and seeks to show the animals and plants of the Pantanal.
In addition to the traditional ecological activities offered at the lodge (the same offered at the vast majority of other hotels and lodges in the Pantanal), Jungle Lodge offers a different activity for guests who stay more than 03 nights at the hotel. In fact it is not really an activity, it is the experience of sleeping a night in a tent on the riverbank in a remote and wild place. If you like adventure in the nature, this is a good opportunity to feel the thrill of spending a night surrounded by wildlife in the Pantanal and listening to the sounds next to your tent.
And for us, tuned people who do not require the use of mobile / notebook, it was realized a mega investment in a super internet antenna, providing WiFi signal for free, so you can instantly share your photos with friends and family.
It is worthwhile to visit this area in Pantanal, you’re sure to have an unforgettable experience! Check out the tour packages to the Pantanal Jungle Lodge and program now your trip with Eco Adventures Travel.

Marden K.14/12/2023It was a great trip to Pantanal and Santa Clara Lodge. Special thanks to Alisson, he changed the tour for me so that I could reach my return flight in time. The nature tours from Jaguar Man Elias and Pedro were great!Simon Harries13/12/2023The team were super-helpful not only in the easy booking process, but also in giving advice on my onward travel plans. The lodge is fantastic, in a perfect location to enjoy both the wildlife and memorable sundowners. The included food is tasty and plentiful and drinks and snacks are available at very reasonable prices. The guides are very good, full of knowledge and very focussed on delivering the best experiences and wildlife encounters for their clients.Adriana Bracko29/11/2023Alisson and David organized everything for us in Manaus, from transport to tours. The highlights are definitely the 2 nights in the floating house +1 night in the jungle and the other tour to swim with pink dolphins and visiting an indigenous tribe. Loved everything from start to finish. The floating house we stayed had everything we needed: good bed, air-conditioning and simple delicious food. Mathias was our guide and his knowledge about the Amazon is unbelievable. In some activities, João (local guy) also came along and he is really good too. They got so many fishes on the night we slept in the jungle that we all went to bed (hammocks) with full stomach. These guys did everything, from building dinner table to making cooffee in a really traditional cool way. The other tour was amazing too. The pink dolphins are sooo sweet and we were lucky to have lots of them around us. With the indigenous tribe we had a lesson about tradition and dancing and also could appreciate their art. I highly recommend Eco Adventures.Carolina Madarasz08/11/2023Amazing tour, highly recommend it! Allison was super helpful and professional in organizing the trip. We had a fantastic day with stunning views! Obrigada Eco Adventures Travel.Konrad Rohr08/10/2023We booked a 3N Pantanal and 2N Bonito tour. The trip was well organized by Alisson, who handled our requests last minute. In the Pantanal we stayed at Santa Clara which is a nice location with good food. Our guide the "jaguarman" we really can recommend (even though, we did not see a jaguar ;)) as he is very passionate about his job and very entertaining! Of course we cannot compare to other tours, but we were overall happy with our budget tour we booked and would recommend it. If you want to see even more animals and increase the chances to spot a Jaguar one probably would have to go for a more expensive tour in the northern Pantanal.Avaliação totalizada Google 4.8 de 5,
