This Pantanal Trip is a fantastic way to explore the natural beauty and wildlife of the northern Pantanal region in Brazil, a UNESCO World Heritage site and of the world´s largest tropical watlands. This region is renowned for its icredible biodiversity and unique landscapes, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in prostine nature.
Pick up at the airport or hotel in Cuiabá and and private transfer to the Rio Claro Lodge located in Pantanal North. The trip from Cuiabá to the lodge is almost 150km, it takes 02 up to 03 hours (depend of the conditions of the dirt road) been 100km in paved road until the Poconé City + 42km of dirt road (Transpantaneira road) from Poconé to the Lodge.
Check-in and schedule the activities for the next days (this activity itinerary is only an example how can be the activities distribution during your stay in the Pantanal). Depending what time you arrive in the lodge it is possible walk around to have your first contact with the Pantanal Weatlands.
After dinner, you go to night car safari around the ranch area. In this tour a “silibim” (powerful lantern) is used, which reflects to the eyes of the animals, this allowing the best location of animals of nocturnal habits such as alligators, owls, fox, spider, etc. The focus lasts approximately 1 hour. At night, the starry sky of the Pantanal is also a beautiful attraction.
In this lodge you have 02 options of accommodation: standard room and premium room (both of them have air conditioning and private bathroom/toilet). Overnight stay in one of the chosen rooms. (D)
Before breakfast, meeting with Local Guide in front of the restaurant on time for the paddling canoe ride. Output by the river walkway, until the arrival at the port for vessels where the local guide will give some instructions to the tour and exit in paddling boat. This tour happens in Rio Claro River, where there will be the chance to see monkeys, howler monkeys, giant otters, great variety of birds. The great magic of this tour is the possibility of see the sunrise in the river, the total tranquility and sounds of the Pantanal, since you will have 100% contact with the silence and the sounds of animals and birds. The tour takes around 1 hour.
After breakfast, you go out for Motor Boat Trip – on the activity you will spend about 2 hours riding on motor boats equipped with life jacket and comfortable swivel seats. The boat trip happens in the Rio Claro River and you have chance to see and learn about the local flora and fauna. In this tour you will see all the beauty and exuberance of the Riparian forest with its centuries-old trees, natural habitat of birds, mammals and reptiles that shelter in the banks of the rivers. The boat trip allows a greater approximation with the fauna and aquatic flora, depending on the time of year you have greater chances of seeing animals / birds or simply enjoy the nature sounds and songs of birds.
After lunch, departure by private car from Rio Claro Lodge to Piuval Lodge. Approximately 25km will be covered by the transpantaneira where stops can be made as animals are found.

The horses are quiet and trained to ride with people who don´t have experience on ridden, which means that even those who have never ridden on horseback before can do this tour. Several trails (shorter and longer trails) can be use during dry and wet season and always accompanied by experienced local guides. It is a contemplation ride, where during the ride; typical Brazilian savannah animals like armadillos, anteaters, deer, rhea and infinite variety of birds can be spot. The tour duration goes from 1 hour up to 3 hours depending on the experience of the person and climatic season.

While touring the entire area of the Pousada in search of animals increasingly rare to see, such as tapir, anteater, armadillos, blue macaws, and how about suddenly “face” with a jaguar. The ride lasts 2 hours, takes you to incredible places and is happen in cars suitable for each terrain.
Overnight stay in one of the chosen rooms. (B,L,D)
Before breakfast, you go for a sunrise car safari in the farm roads searching for wildlife. The tour takes around 1h30minutes and you have chance to see anteater (giant and Southern tamandua) and several birds. Return to the Lodge to have breakfast.
After breakfast, you go for an activity that can be for example Nature walking. This activity usually carried out on natural trails that run through various environments in Pantanal, such as: ciliary forest (riverside forest), capons / mountain ranges (forests in higher areas), creeks and open field. It is one of the Pantanal activities where you have more contact with the flora of the region knowing its functions and importance for the balance of the Pantanal ecosystem, besides being a good opportunity to see the wildlife more closely since there is no noise coming from engines, cars, horses, etc. The duration of the walking tour takes from 1h30min to 3h depending on group arrangement and climatic conditions.
After lunch and rest a lit bit, you will go to a Car Photografic Safari – With great possibilities of seeing several species of mammals and birds, the safari gives visitors a unique sensation of being deeply in contact with the wild. While touring the entire area of the Pousada in search of animals increasingly rare to see, such as tapir, anteater, armadillos, blue macaws, and how about suddenly “face” with a jaguar. The ride lasts 2 hours, takes you to incredible places and is happen in cars suitable for each terrain.
Overnight stay in one of the chosen rooms. (B,L,D)
Before breakfast, you can go walk to see the sunrise, the nature songs and the birds starting fly around. Depending of the departure time it´s possible to make another walk or just relex around the lodge.
