This tour is a great option to learn about the Amazon jungle as it gives chance to do all the activities that are done in other tours and an opportunity to spend a night camping out in the forest.
Transfer from Manaus to the Jungle Floating Lodge
We pick you up at your hotel at 8:00am and from there you go by car to the Ceasa Port on the right bank of the Negro River about 20 kilometers from Manaus. From there you will take a speed-boat to crosses over the river to the village of Careiro and on the way you will stop on the meeting of the waters (the place where the Negro river and the Solimões river meet). At the village you will take a mini-van that will bring you to the Paraná do Mamori river and the journey by land takes about an hour. Another speed-boat is used to take you to the lodge and this ride takes about 45 minutes. Your arrival at the lodge will be around 11:30am. Lunch is served at 12:30pm and the afternoon activity starts at 2:30pm. You will do a canoe trip to watch dolphins, birds, piranha fishing and finally the watching of the sunset at about 6:30pm. Dinner is served at 7pm and then at about 8:30pm you go by canoe to cayman spotting – on this activity the guide literally snatches a cayman out of the water and after giving a thorough explanation about the reptile it is returned to its habitat.

At 5:30am you go for a canoe trip to see the sunrise and to get a close up view of the forest waking up to a new day. At 7:00am breakfast is served and then at 8:00am a jungle walk starts and it goes up to 11:30am. During the walk, the guide explains valuable information about the forest, like about medicinal plants, spiders, trees and there is even a chance of seeing monkeys.
After lunch the afternoon activity starts at 3pm. It is canoeing in the flooded forest and in the small channels, where you have a great opportunity to see and learn about the flora and fauna of this fantastic Amazon jungle.

After breakfast from 8:00am to 11:00am you go visit the home of a local family to see and learn their simple and fantastic way of living in the forest. The Amazon forest is not only nature and wildlife, it´s also a cultural trip where you can see how the people leave in the jungle and what they do to survive. After lunch at 3pm you go for an overnight in the forest where you will sleep in hammocks (protected with mosquitoes’ nets). That will be a nice experience where you will hear all the jungle sounds and it´s a good chance to learn how to spear fish at night.

Transfer from the Jungle Floating Lodge to Manaus
After having breakfast in the jungle, you can choose with the local guide between doing another trekking or more canoeing. After the activity, you will returns to the lodge and at 1:30pm you come back to Manaus (boat, car and boat again) and your arrival will be around 4:30pm.
The trip from Manaus to the Juma Floating Lodge is done in four parts. Two parts are done by land and the other two parts are done by speed boat. The whole journey from Manaus to the Lodge takes about three and half hours and the last part to reach the lodge its done by speed boat crossing the forest exploring lakes and small tributaries.
– The trip happens with 02 people minimum! If you are only one person, check with us to see there is anybody booked to the same day.
– You MUST to bring sleeping bag and towel.
– The tours will be scheduled day by day at the Pousada depending of the weather conditions and can be changed. Our program day by day is only an example of how the excursion can be distributed.

Transfer from the hotel in Manaus to the Jungle and return to Manaus (airport or hotel), 02 overnights at the Juma Floating Lodge in basic room, 01 overnight in Jungle camping in hammocks, full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) during the trip, tours mentioned in the program (Piranha fishing, spear fishing at night, dolphin watching, sunrise and sunset watching, cayman spotting at night, jungle trekking, visiting the local people, canoeing in the flooded forest and small channels (creeks) and English speaking guide during the tours.
