The Pousada & Camp was built on the Santa Clara Ranch, existing for over thirty years and is a pioneer in eco-tourism in the Pantanal Park Road, Southern Pantanal. In total there are 1,700 hectares of native areas consist of: open fields, mountain ranges and gallery forest (riverside forest), where farming and eco-tourism are developed in perfect Harmony.
In 2003 the farm was bought and Pousada & Camping Santa Clara has been completely restructured according to the ecotourism. Today, the hostel offers a unique experience in direct contact with wildlife and the Pantanal culture, which is closely linked to the cattle ranches. All this while offering comfort, authenticity and good service.
Thanks to the natural exuberance of the Pantanal and dedication to serving well, the Santa Clara has become, over the years, in a meeting point for people from many different places in Brazil and abroad, that is, you can exchange experiences with people from other countries and regions of Brazil, thus enriching your visit to the Pantanal.
For better convenience, the Santa Clara Lodge offers a complete hosting infrastructure (shared dorm, private room and camp), restaurant, games room with pool table, pimbolim, ping pong, table for card games, TV and sofas to rest, redário outdoor pool, soccer field, sand volleyball court, free wifi and of course Pantanal tours.
All accommodations have air conditioning and private bathroom with hot / cold shower. Among the types of accommodation, shared dorm (room that can be shared with other tourists) and private room (only for you) that also have TV, plus air conditioning and a private bathroom.
In the Ranch in addition to the hostel, there is also an ecological camp where visitors sleep in hammocks (inside of a dorm with mosquitos nets on thw windows) or tents outdoor or in beds inside a big dorm protected against mosquitoes, providing a unique experience in the Pantanal Wetlands. The Camp has shared bathrooms with hot / cold shower, kitchen where meals are prepared (breakfast, lunch and dinner), dining room, TV, outdoor hammocks and sand volleyball court.
I think one of the best thinks of the Pantanal camp site is the location, really in front of the Abobral River where you will see many alligators and birds.
The main ecological activities offered to visitors include: horseback riding, hiking, piranha fishing, Jeep safari on the Pantanal park road, nocturnal tours and the motor boat ride on the Abobral river. All activities happen with local English speaking guides properly trained to observation and explanation about Pantanal wildlife.
The tour packages (minimum 02 nights) include transportation, lodging, meals, excursions and local guide.

Located on the banks of the Abobral River 25 kilometers inside of the Pantanal Park Road, Corumbá – South Mato Grosso, Brazil. Pousada & Camping Santa Clara, has excellent fishing spots, as it is located near the Miranda and Paraguay River.
You can come to the Santa Clara Lodge & Camp from Campo Grande, Bonito or Corumbá (Bolivia´s border) with own car, with our private transport (car or minibus), regular shared transfer (minivan) or small aircraft. In all our tour packages the transportation (in/out) is already included.
The Private rooms have air-conditioner and private bathroom/toilet (some rooms have tv) with capacity for 4 people. In each bed there is sheet, blanket and towel. The rooms can be with twin beds or double (couple) bed.
The dormitory is a room with air-conditioner and private bathroom/toilet with capacity for 6 up to 8 people. In each bed there is sheet, blanket and towel. It is a kind of accommodation where you share it with other people.
The dorms are separated for mens and women, it means a couple cannot stay in the same shared dorm with other people.
There are 03 options of ccommodation in the Camp:
– Tends outdoor with net (you have to bring sheet). There are around 10 tends around the camp area.
– Hammocks in dorm protect against mosquitoes with nets on the windows. There are around 20 tends in the dorm.
