Are you looking for budget tours in Pantanal to see wildlife? São João farm is a perfect place! Simple structure but located in a nice area in southern Pantanal with low budget tours.
São João Farm is part of the Passo do Lontra Parque Hotel business and it is located in the sub region of Abobral, 32 kilometers alongside Pantanal Park Road. Covering roughly 2,000 hectares, it features small and large lakes, ponds, savannas, and dense forests full of fruit trees. It is a privileged region with high flood intensity and a large variety of fauna and flora species of the Abobral and Nhecolândia regions, in the Pantanal Southern Mato Grosso.
Passo do Lontra Parque Hotel decided to expand tourism activities which was leased to São João farm. At first it was developed a tour called “ecological day at the São João farm” where customers just spent the day at the farm and performed nature hiking and horseback riding. Many of the tourists always say that they would like some structure to sleep on the farm, because the place is very beautiful and it would be nice to spend more time there to watch the sunrise and sunset.
After much insistence was decided to build an ecological camp with hammocks and Private Rooms equipped with ceiling fan, TV, air conditioning and private bathroom with shower heated to visitors sleep on the farm.
Thinking about the nature conservation, all the buildings were made with recycled materials, water from toilets goes into septic tank and waste is separated and recycled. At São João there is electricity, running water, toilets and communal showers, bar and 02 accommodation options: hammocks and Private room for those who do not adapt sleep in hammocks and want a lit bit more comfort. The hammocks room there are availability up to 60 people an in the Private room thera availability for 25 people distributed in 5 quintuple room.
The construction where meals are served (breakfast, lunch and dinner), drinks (mineral water, soft drinks, beer, caipirinha, …) and other things like batteries, mosquito repellent, sunscreen and snacks are sold also is screened against mosquitoes.
Pousada & Camping São João, in partnership with the Passo do Lontra Parque Hotel, offers some nature tours like: horseback riding, ecological walk, piranha fishing in bays, Jeep safari on the Pantanal park road (day and night) and Canadian canoe ride at Miranda river.
All tours in the Pantanal are performed to the accompaniment of local bilingual guides, experienced, qualified and trained for the animals spotting and explanation of the local fauna and flora. Certainly the guides will provide an enrichment experience of visitors will make a trip in the Pantanal unforgattable.
São João Farm is located in the Pantanal wetland (sub region of Abobral), 32 kilometers alongside Pantanal Park Road. This area is part of Corumbá city, Southern Mato Grosso – Brazil.
You can get on the farm by regular transfer (public bus or tourist minibus) or by private transportation. In all our tour packages the transportation (in/out) is included.
