The PANTANAL is the largest wetland on the planet, UNESCO declares the site as a World Heritage and Biosphere Reserve, the true wildlife sanctuary of South America. Amid this unique and rare biological diversity is the Pousada Araras Pantanal Eco Lodge. The Pousada ARARAS ECO LODGE, was built in harmony with nature, offers a charming and familiar environment, in which visitors from different generations and cultures, find creative space to carry out their personal experiences. In the accommodation area there are 19 apartments equipped with Split air conditioning (silent), ceiling fan, box bed, windows protected with screens against insects and private bathroom with cold / hot shower. The accommodations at Pousada Araras Lodge have rustic decor with a touch of modernity. The balcony at the entrance to the accommodation has hammocks and comfortable armchairs for you to relax at the end of each day of sightseeing in the Pantanal.
At the Lodge’s Restaurant and Bar you will be delighted with Pantanal cuisine and a wide variety of drinks, including a good wine list from the acclimatized cellar. As there are no other restaurantsr around the Pousada Araras, the tour packages are with full board (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner).
At Pantanal Araras Eco Lodge you will also find a swimming pool, reading lounge, conference rooms, souvenir shop and 03 towers for nature observation (Torre Garça with 11m; Torre Tuiuiú with 13m and Torre Bugio with 25m). In general you will have everything you need to have an excellent stay in the Pantanal Northern.
In Pousada Araras packages, 03 daily nature tours are included according to the lodge´s program / schedule and local guide in English / Portuguese. You will have the opportunity to do excellent birdwatching, hike trails in primary forest and over suspended walkways over wetlands, canoeing, explore fields and forests on horseback, take day and night photo safaris in appropriate vehicles and much more, all with assistance specialized naturalistic guides fluent in several languages.
Since 2011, Araras Lodge has adopted the concepts of SAFE ADVENTURE, developed by ABETA: Brazilian Association of Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism, in order to establish our SGS: Safety Management System, with the objective of minimizing the risks of accidents in the execution of our activities in full nature. Araras is one of the few lodges in the Pantanal with the Safe Adventure certification.

Pousada Araras Eco Lodge is located in the heart of the Northern Pantanal, at south of Cuiabá – capital of the state of Mato Grosso. Precisely the Lodge is located at km 33 of Transpantaneira Park Road, about 133 km from the city of Cuiabá, MT – Brazil.
The access to the Araras Eco Lodge can be made by land throughout all the year and the journey time from Cuiabá to Pousada Araras is around 2h30min, being 100km of paved road to the municipality of Poconé and 33km on the Transpantaneira Park Road.
Eco Adventures Travel has private transportation to Pousada Araras, but it is also possible to arrive with your own vehicle.
