In the South Pantanal, in Aquidauana region, Pousada Aguapé offers a close contact with the exuberant nature of the Pantanal and the way of life in a typical Pantanal Ranch.
The Ranch has been run by the same family for some 150 years. Since 1989 it has diversified its activities, continuing with cattle but starting to work with ecological tourism and fishing, it is also taking part in other projects such as Hyacinth Macaw project and Organic Veal.
The Pousada/Lodge is inserted in a rich area formed by typical wetland vegetation and open pastures with patches of stunted vegetation (cerrado), lakes, lowlands, pond outlets and the Aquidauana River with its exuberant gallery forest.
Visitors are welcome throughout the year, during the rain or dry season. This is an excellent environment for birdwatching (over 300 species have been listed) and there is nothing more beautiful and impressive than to see the sunrise and the sunset in Pantanal!
The Lodge has 15 apartments (capacity to 45 people) equipped with air-conditioning and ceiling fans and private bathroom. Two rooms are handicapped accessible. There is a restaurant that serves delicious meals in the morning, afternoon and evening following the regional tradition (typical dishes, meats, fish, breads, cheese and sweets all made with care in the farm kitchen).

All the activities in pantanal will be guided by local guides that know all about the flora and fauna of Pantanal and it will make all the difference during your tour. The main activities offered by the lodge are: night tours, jeep photo safari, horse riding, boat rides, trekking, piranha fishing, bird watching, cattle handling and sportive fishing.
The tour package to the Aguapé Ranch can be from 02 nights up to 04 nights and include private transportation, food, private accommodation, activities and English Speaking guide.
